Yong Er 雍尔, very interesting man, talkative and outgoing. Had good experience. Been to many places. Said been in Korea for around one year, coz he got a Korean girl friend. Well-talented in languages. Don’t know how deep his language talent is, but his pronunciation of English, Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Shanghaiese etc. are nice. People outside would imagine locals here be very backward and non-knowledgeable. However, the reality is just the opposite. Some people here got lots of stories, and experienced much more than urban creatures.
Jin Ru 金汝, very handsome and of little words (compared to Yong Er, Zha Xi, etc.). Really good singer. He sang together with Yong Er at night in Zhaxi’s home. They need to do some other work to help as well. But he and Yong Er are the singers and atmosphere-players at night time. He got a very good voice. I quite like the other night, when fewer and quieter guests in the bar, they sang the song “姑娘 月亮”. Very touching! No wonder many women would fall after them. There’s no need of karaoke here. No music, no lyric books. Just sing directly. They got all them saved in mind, from local songs, to Beyond, to hiphop, to pop music, etc. etc. I’m not saying it’s non-commercial and pure nationality preference. It’s just not that commercial yet. And you could feel like home.
Zha Xi, 扎西, the most famous guy and boss of the inn. He was really really really handsome when younger. Still of charms now. Nice guy. His photos were hang on the wall. Knew little of him, coz we didn’t ask. He tells his stories to tourists if he wanted. Too many stories to tell, I guess. Every time he's in the bar with guests, he's talking. Heard that he had been a monk for ten years. There is a picture of him in the twenties, shortly after he returned to secular life, really really really handsome.
